Top Girls Teams Displayed Impressive Skills at the USYS National League Regional Showcase NJ 2025

USYS National League teams from around the region competed at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ over the weekend at the USYS National League Regional Showcase New Jersey 2025 Girls. Clubs from the New England, North Atlantic, Mid Atlantic, and South Atlantic Conferences were joined by international teams from Canada for this mid-season showcase featuring top National League sides. The field of teams was made up of over 70 clubs, seeing diverse cross-division matches in front of college coaches from NCAA Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 and Junior Colleges that were all on site to find their next top student-athlete.  Â

The 19U Diamond Bracket saw the number one ranked team in the nation, NJ Surf South Shore 07G, finish off their last event as champions. Led by coach Leon Brown, and star forward and Brown University Commit, Naomi Nnewihe, the team won both their games on day one 2-0 and clinched their spot in the final with a 3-2 win over PMYSL Crush. In the final, they defeated STA 2006/07G 2-0 to finish their youth careers on top. Other age group winners included Lancaster Elite Fury, Lower Merion SC Furia 2007G, Lancaster Inferno FC 07, and Steel United NJ 2007G Elite. Â
The 17U Diamond Bracket was extremely competitive, with 12 of the 13 games decided by one goal or less. Philadelphia SC Coppa 08 Express came out on top of this close group, starting their weekend with a 1-1 draw against Capital Elite FC Blue Fire and a 2-1 defeat over HEX FC Dominion USYS 08G. On day two, they won back-to-back games 1-0 over Deptford Premier FC '08 Girls and Pennridge United in the championship game. Berks United FC 2008 Girls won the Ruby Bracket in a thrilling penalty shootout with fantastic saves by both goal keepers, FC Revolution Eclipse won the Emerald Bracket, and Match Fit Academy Shore Blue 08 won the Sapphire Bracket.Â
At the 16U level, Asphalt Green G2009 clinched their spot in the final in the Diamond Bracket on day one, beating Voorhees SA Wildcats 2009 1-0 and Aurora FC 2009 OPDL out of Canada 2-1. On the second day of competition, they bounced back from a 1-0 defeat to beat Deptford Premier FC 09G Elite NL 4-0 in the final. In the Ruby Bracket, CFC Ole Academy G2009 beat NJ Surf South Shore 2009 Girls Blue in penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw in regulation. Other age group winners included Steel United PA 09G Elite and NJ Surf South Shore 2009 Girls White.Â
In the 15U Diamond Bracket, Union County FC Dortmund 2010G kept three clean sheets in the group stages, with wins of 3-0, 2-0, and 3-0. In the final, their attack continued to click, scoring four goals and leading the side to a 4-2 win. West-Mont United S.A. 2010G Elite 64 won the Ruby Bracket, and NJ Crush FC 2010 EDP won the Emerald Bracket.Â
