Top Boys Teams Brought Their A-Game to the EDP Spring Classic for a Thrilling, Quality Competition!




The EDP Spring Classic Boys event took place on March 22-23, showcasing over 350 top Boys teams from clubs around the Northeast region. Participants traveled from seven state associations, including CT, DE, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, as well as Ontario and Quebec. Teams played 614 games at three fantastic venues – Green Branch Park in Pittsgrove, NJ, WSFS Bank Sportsplex in Chester, PA, and Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ.

The EDP Spring Classic Boys 8U Red Bracket at Pittsgrove showcased impressive talent and competitive matches over the weekend. In Bracket A, Futboltech 2017 - Inter dominated, winning all three group matches and securing the championship with a victory over TSF Academy 2017 Blue in the final. In Bracket B, TSF Academy 2017 Blue, Ole FC, and Futboltech 2017 - Milan each finished with two wins, creating a tightly contested race. 


The EDP Spring Classic Boys 9U Red bracket featured an exciting weekend of soccer, with Philadelphia Union SWAG 2016 dominating the competition. They secured first place with an undefeated record and clinched the championship with a victory over Sporting Athletic Club 2016 Mambas Navy. Sporting PA finished as runners-up with two wins despite a tough loss to the champions.



The Boys 10U Red Bracket featured intense competition, culminating in Valencia Soccer Academy’s dominant championship run as they went undefeated, winning all four matches and securing the title with a commanding victory over NJ Premier FC in the final. NJ Premier FC had a strong tournament, finishing first in Bracket A with two wins and a draw before falling short in the championship.  

 

Monmouth United Soccer MUSC 2014 Boys Premier I dominated the Boys 11U Red Bracket at WSFS, winning all their matches and securing the championship with a victory over Princeton SA PSA Monmouth in the final. They finished the tournament undefeated, scoring 15 goals while conceding only three in group play. Princeton SA finished second in the standings with two wins and a draw before falling short in the final





NYCFC New York City FC Blue 2024/25 dominated the Boys 12U Red Bracket at Pittsgrove, winning all four matches and finishing with a perfect record. They outscored their opponents 19-3. Futboltech 2013 - Bayern secured second place with three wins, falling only to NYCFC in a 4-1 defeat.   


The Boys 13U Red Bracket at Tuckahoe saw an intense competition between the two New York Red Bulls teams, with Red Bulls - Stars finishing the group stage undefeated and conceding just one goal. Red Bulls - Metro followed closely, securing two wins and a draw.  In the final, Red Bulls - Stars defeated Red Bulls - Metro.  


In the Boys 14U Red Division at Tuckahoe, Etobicoke FC 2011 A dominated Bracket A with a perfect record, winning all three matches, scoring 10 goals, and conceding only two. The Football Academy NJ FA 2011 Boys Silver secured second place with two wins but lost to Etobicoke. In Bracket B, FC Stars New Hampshire 2011 Boys Granite and Match Fit Academy FC Match Fit Ocean 2011 both finished unbeaten with 7 points, but FC Stars advanced due to a better goal difference. In the final, Etobicoke FC continued their dominant run, defeating FC Stars 3-1 to claim the championship.



In the Boys 15U Red Division at Tuckahoe, Just Play Soccer Club JPSC Premier B10 EA finished on top of Bracket A with an impressive 3-0-1 record, scoring 10 goals and conceding only 1. FC Stars New Hampshire 2010 Boys Granite also had a strong performance, winning 3 out of 4 games and finishing with 10 points. On March 23, the match between Just Play Soccer Club JPSC Premier B10 EA and FC Stars New Hampshire 2010 Boys Granite ended in a 1-1 draw, while Just Play triumphed 2-0 against Cedar Stars. 


In the Boys 16U Red Division at Tuckahoe, New Rochelle Boys 2009 led Group A with 7 points, finishing 2-0-1. FC Stars New Hampshire 2009 Boys Granite closely followed with 4 points, while Cedar Stars Academy - Monmouth NAL Academy 09, Hamilton United U16 OPDL, Rahway Youth Soccer JFC-ARSENAL, and Next Level Soccer Academy NLSA 2009 Boys Elite all earned 3 points each. On Sunday, FC Stars New Hampshire 2009 Boys Granite claimed the final victory, winning 1-0 against New Rochelle Boys 2009 in the championship match.    


In the Boys 17U Red Division at Tuckahoe, Cedar Stars Academy - Monmouth NAL Academy 08 and JA Elite Soccer Academy JA Elite FC 2008 Boys both finished with 7 points in Group A, but Cedar Stars emerged as the winners. They defeated JA Elite Soccer Academy 1-0 in the final on March 23. Throughout the tournament, Cedar Stars earned victories over Stamford FC and Westchester Flames, while JA Elite Soccer Academy defeated Westchester Flames and Kearny Thistle United FC. Other notable results included Stamford FC’s 1-0 win against Westchester Flames and Kearny Thistle United’s 1-0 victory over Westchester Flames on Saturday. 



In the Boys 18/19U Red Division at Tuckahoe, Medford Strikers SC Academy Boys 2006 triumphed, defeating RUSA FC B2007 Gold 3-0 in the final. Medford Strikers dominated the tournament, earning 7 points in Group A with victories over Berks United and RUSA FC, alongside a 0-0 draw against RUSA FC. RUSA FC also secured 7 points, with wins over JA Elite Soccer Academy and FC Stars but fell short in the final.
