Jailene DeJesus, a former standout with FC Revolution, had her best week of the season for Big East program St John's, who are now 6-4-2 on the season. The Junior started the week rounding into form with her season high three shots, and capped the week off scoring the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Villanova.
DeJesus has played in all 12 of the teams matches this season, starting the last seven. During her Sophomore season, she appeared in all 19 matches, and made seven of her nine starts during conference play and the postseason.
DeJesus played for FC Revolution Rowdies as a youth player, who were one of the most successful teams in the nation. The team won almost every major tournament, and in 2019 the team won the EPYSA State Cup, and were finalists at the USYS Eastern Regional Championships. At the Eastern Regionals, DeJesus scored six goals, including both of the team's goals in the final. In addition to her success with FC Revolution, she was a member of the EPYSA ODP team and also the USYS East Regional team.
At Wilson High School, DeJesus was named all All-Berks County and also a Regional All-American. During her junior year, she scored nine goals and added nine assists, and finished her high school career with 25 goals and 16 assists despite missing her senior season due to injury.
