Daniel D'Ippolito, a Junior for Division 1 Program Fordham University scored a hat trick leading Fordham to a 4-0 win over Santa Clara. This was his second straight game finding the back of the net after scoring the team's first goal in the their 3-2 win over Colgate. In the game against Santa Clara, he started his hat trick off with a penalty kick in the 7th minute, followed by goals in the 23rd minute and 69th minute. He now has nine career goals and four assists in his college career.
During his youth career with FC Somers, he reached the USYS National Championships in 2022 and 2023, and won the USYS Eastern Regional Championship in 2023. The team also won the USYS National League North Atlantic Conference and participated in National League P.R.O. where he was named U18 Best 11 in 2021-2022. At Somers High School, he earned High School All-America honors from United Soccer Coaches, as well as won the New York State Gatorade Player of the Year.
