The EDP Futsal State Cup Maryland 2025 concluded its first weekend of play at CCBC Catonsville. The 9U to 14U Boys were in action on the first weekend, with 50 teams from across 25 clubs participating. Bethesda SC and A1 Soccer Training led the way with three teams each getting three points per game in the group stages, followed by Coppermine SC, FC Roma Futsal, and Tri-City Futsal each with one unbeaten team with three points per game. Coppermine Futsal 2013 Blue had the best goal against per game in the group stage, allowing just four goals in their four matches. Bethesda Academy II 2015, FC ROMA Futsal 2012 Boys Elite, and Dabbing FC U13B were the three top-scoring teams in the event.

A1 Soccer Training was dominant in the age group, with both A1ST 2011 Red and A1ST 2011 Blue both going 3-0-0 in the group stages to meet in the final. A1ST 2011 Red’s closest game of group play was a 4-3 win over group runner up City Sporting Club 2011 Black, and A1ST 2011 Blue’s closest game was a 5-4 win over their group runner up S.I.F. In the final, A1ST 2011 Blue came away as champions.
In the Platinum Bracket, Tri-City Futsal 2012B Green went 4-0-0, and would face off in the final against Dabbing FC who was 3-0-1. In group play, Tri-City handed Dabbing FC their only loss, an 8-6 score in the opening match. The rematch was once again a very evenly played match, with regulation ending 5-5, and Tri-City winning 4-2 on penalty kicks. In the Gold Bracket, FC Roma Maryland defeated Shade 1-on-1 2012 Boys I in the final.
In the Platinum Bracket, Bethesda Academy I White 2013 and Coppermine Futsal 2013 Blue were the two best teams in the age group all weekend long on a collision course for the final. Coppermine SC had three clean sheets to start the tournament, while Bethesda had 7+ goals in each of their first three games. The final was the toughest test for both teams as they went back and forth, with Bethesda eventually coming out as champions by a 4-3 scoreline. Coppermine Futsal 2013 Black defeated A1 Soccer Training 2013 Blue in the Gold Bracket final.
The Platinum final was between SAC Boys 2014 Pre-Academy and Potomac SA Pre ECNL I 14B. SAC reached the final with a 3-0-1 record, with their only tie against Potomac in their final group game. Potomac was 3-1-1 and needed the draw against SAC in that final group game to make the final. In the rematch of the 4-4 draw, it was again a very tight game, this time with SAC coming out on top 4-3 to win first place. Bethesda 2014 Green Futsal won the Gold Bracket.
In the Platinum Bracket, Bethesda Academy I 2015 defeated Tiki Taka FC in one semi-final, and The Legends defeated A1 Soccer Training 2015 Blue in the other. In the final, Bethesda made it four wins out of four, with a 5-3 victory for the championship. Bethesda Academy II 2015 made it a clean sweep of the age group, winning the Gold Bracket by beating Virginia Revolution SC VRSC Futsal 2015 Boys Leipzig in the final.
It was an all Bethesda SC final, with Bethesda McKennie 2016 taking on Bethesda Pulisic 2016 for the championship. The two had similar results in group play, both finishing 3-1-1 with a +15 goal differential. Bethesda McKennie 2016 was the better side in the final, winning the match and taking home first place.
