This past weekend, EDP Soccer hosted its EDP Soccer Florida Competitive Leagues End of Season Playoff at Gardens North County District Park in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Top 9U-14U Boys teams from North, Central, West and South Florida gathered as each age group crowned their champion. Teams played games under the lights Friday night, with the event concluding on Saturday.

A Look At Some of the Weekend’s Playoff Results:
Juventus Academy Miami Higuain was led by their high-flying attack as they went unbeaten throughout the weekend, defeating IdeaSport 2012 PRE MLS 5-2 in the championship game. During the season, the side went 6-1-1, finishing in second place in the highly competitive South FL Subregional Division.
Weston FC U12 Boys Future Elite finished 3-0-0 in the group stage, keeping two clean sheets on their way to the final. They took on Juventus Academy Miami Trezeguet, who advanced out of Group B where three teams were tied with 2-1-0 records after a penalty shootout between Miramar Optimist Miramar Supreme FC Red 2011 to decide who would have a chance to play in the championship. In the final, it was Weston who was 6-1-1 during league play who would come out as Champions.
KBSC Elite 2010 opened the weekend with a thrilling 4-3 win over Silva Select 2010, followed by a 1-1 draw against Indialantic 2010 Force Boys Black. After a win over SSA Coastal 10B Silver, they reached the final where they took on Barca Academy Pro Miami B2010 PRO who went 3-0-0 to top the group stages. The standings before the final was made up of #1, #2, and #3 ranked in the state with the final being contested by the #1 and #2 ranked teams in Florida. In the final, the two sides traded goals throughout the game, and KBSC Elite 2010 came out on top.
Strikers Miami FC 2009 Elite began the weekend with back-to-back 1-0 wins over Team Boca and Winter Park FC. With another clean sheet to close out the group stage, the team headed into the final to play the high-scoring Academia Metodo Coira U14, who scored 11 goals throughout their three wins. In the final, Strikers Miami FC was able to shut down the attack, and score three goals of their own as they went on to win 3-0 and claim the championship.
The end of season playoffs for the Girls divisions will take place in January, with the Spring Season kicking off for all age groups in February.
