EDP Florida Competitive League Fall 2022 Nears End of Season


The EDP Florida Competitive League has reached the midway point of its highly competitive Fall Season. With top clubs across four regions, teams in North, Central, South, and West Florida are vying for a spot in the coveted EDP League Playoffs, being held this December in Palm Beach Gardens.

With over 825 teams this Fall, the league features 9U-19U age groups, providing a good game every week with limited travel. Through more than 1,600 games, over 8,000 goals have been scored, with more than half of the games being decided by two goals or less. In addition to teams playing for a spot in the playoffs, promotion and relegation are on the line for the Spring 2023 season, creating meaning for each game in the back half of the season.

South Florida

The 13U Boys Subregional South Division has Barca Academy Pro Miami B2010 PRO at the top of the table with a 6-0-0 record. Coming off back-to-back clean sheets with a recent 3-0 win over Team Boca, they have two games remaining in November against CTC Palau and Juventus Academy Miami Juventus to remain unbeaten. Four teams sit behind them battling for a playoff slot, including KBSC Elite, Team Boca, PSG Academy and Azzurri Storm.


The 17U Boys Subregional South Division has three teams separated by just two points at the top of the table. Team Boca 2006 is 3-0-1, playing in some very close contests having scored just five goals through the four matches but conceding just once. FBS FC is a perfect 3-0-0, and Weston FC is 2-0-2, and will face the two teams ahead of them in their two final matches of the season.


Central Florida

In the 15U Boys age group, Nona SA 2008 Orange is unbeaten and in first place, but is just one point ahead of Hunters Creek and two points ahead of IdeaSport. With a record of 4-0-3, Nona SA will look to fend off IdeaSport in the final match of the season to maintain their spot in the table.


At 13U Girls, there have been close games across the board all season long. Ormond Beach is currently in second place, recently defeating seventh-place Florida Rush 1-0 in their battle to catch division leader Nona SA. IdeaSport and PSL Lady Hurricanes both sit on 10 points, with Winter Park in fifth place on nine points, just three points out of first place.


North Florida

Ancient City SC 2012 is 5-1-0 in the 11U Subregional North Division, having recently dropped their first match to third place Clay County SC USA. With two games remaining, they can clinch their spot in the playoff with a win over Jacksonville Football Club JFC 2013 PRE MLS Academy.


The 12U Girls Subregional North Division has Jacksonville Football Club JFC 2012 Pre ECNL I in first place, with a perfect 6-0-0 record. With a league-leading 19 goals, they have won four matches by three goals, and recently won a close contest over Warner SC ASG 1-0.


West Florida

In the 12U Boys Division, Cape Coral Soccer 2011 Cyclones Boys Blue is 4-0-0, after opening their season with a win over Plant City FC. They followed that up with wins over Venice SC and FC Sarasota to put themselves in a great position for the back half of the season.
