This weekend, the EDP Cup Spring Showcase 2023 will be hosted in conjunction with the 2023 US Youth Soccer ODP East Tournament creating a special recruiting opportunity for college coaches of all levels. The 15U-19U ODP East Tournament will be on June 9-11 at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ, with the EDP Cup Spring Showcase on June 10-11 at Tuckahoe Turf Farms and Green Branch Park in Pittsgrove, NJ. The EDP Cup Spring Showcase will have over 225 teams from over 110 clubs representing more than seven State Soccer Associations. College coaches from all levels are registered to attend, with all games recorded by Next Level Video, and each player receiving a SportsRecruits profile to enhance the recruiting experience for all in attendance.
Two of the top boys teams in the nation will be in attendance for the 19U and 17U Boys age groups. Cedar Stars Academy North Elite 64 19U Boys are the reigning USYS National Champions, and feature two of the top prospects in the nation – Ransford Gyan and Kwaku Agyabeng. Juventus Academy Boston IFA 17U Boys recently won the Massachusetts State Cup, and were one of the top performing teams in National League P.R.O., earning their place at this Summer’s USYS National Championship. Both teams also competed at the EDP Winter Showcases, recording quality results against top MLS Next sides.
The Girls 16U Diamond bracket features two state cup champions – New Jersey State Champion STA MOSC 2007 Girls and Pennsylvania State Cup Champion Reading Rage Press SC ‘09 Pugh. The bracket also includes NJ State Cup Semi-Finalists NJ Premier FC 2007 and NJ Surf South Shore 07G. The bracket is rounded out by NJ Crush Academy 07 and FC Dutchmen Girls 2007 Pride.
The ODP East Championship (June 9-11) will have 15U-19U ODP teams from each of the 15 East Region State Associations. Players from each State Association's ODP team are performing to be selected for the East Region ODP Pool, which leads to the USYS ODP National Select Team. The USYS ODP National Select Team saw their 2005 boys win the prestigious Dallas Cup earlier this year, and had several other teams finish as finalists.

2005 and 2006 Boys teams featured Mouhammadou Diallo (NY-E), Ethan Howall (VA), Joseph Liebe (VA), Diego Flores (NY-E), and Kishin Togashi (VA). The 2005 and 2006 girls teams featured Alauna Rutland (VA), Ryann Denecour (RI), Dylan Jovanovic (NY-E), Allison Powderly (MA), Eden Veenema (PA-E), and Madelyn Walsh (CT).
