EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2024 Best XI Girls

EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI from last weekend's EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2024. The selections were made based on the performance of the players during the tournament. Congratulations to the following players who were selected.

The Girls Best XI from the EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2024 are:

# 10 Darexy Monroy - New Jersey Surf South Shore 07G

Darexy played a pivotal role in her team's success. Playing in center midfield, she was able to command the field from defense to attack. Her silky play contributed to the team scoring 10 goals this past weekend!

# 30 Giovanna Waksman - Florida Prep 2007G

Giovanna, a Brazilian Youth National Team player, was once again one of the top players at the showcase. As she has done each time at Tuckahoe Turf Farms, her attacking ability and skill was on full display, leading her team to a first-place finish. She had two assists and seven goals, including some incredible solo efforts.

# 11 Maya Montemayor – Match Fit Academy FC Girls Mercer 2007

Maya played an integral role in the 2007 girls Mercer Match Fit Academy's success at the EDP Cup Fall Girls Showcase. Her speed, strength and high work rate were directly responsible for several of the goals scored over the weekend. In addition to this she possesses a good touch and a powerful shot with either foot making her very difficult to mark.

# 19 Ellie Riggs - 1776 United FC 2008 Girls Orange

Ellie was a key component both in the attack and defensively to a team that only conceded one goal over three games. Ellie was able to keep possession in tight areas while impacting the attack through three games. Her ability to be a two-way player was on full display last weekend.

# 0 Gabby Morell - Delaware Football Club 2008 Girls North Premier

Goalkeeper Gabby Morell consistently performed at a high level throughout the weekend. Over the course of three games, she made twenty saves, with one shutout and only two goals against. She helped her team finish top of the bracket and led a strong defensive performance for the team.

# 26 Maeve Muller - FC Europa 2008 Girls G1

Maeve’s solid play helped the team to two wins in the age groups top bracket. Her technical ability and tactical awareness all weekend made her a standout player in each of the teams' matches.

# 9 Olivia Bello - NJ Nationals FC 2009 Girls Elite

Olivia scored the winning goal in the 2-0 win against NYC FC and the 2-1 win over HEX FC. She was a thorn in the defenses’ sides all weekend with her movement, physicality, and link-up play.

# 10 Natalie Walter - HEX FC Dominion USYS 09G

Natalie had three goals and two assists on the weekend. She was dangerous on the attack as well as strong defensively when the team was not in possession.

# 11 Angelique Giron - FC Somers Shamrocks

Angelique led her team to a first-place finish in the division. With her dynamic play and skill, Angie set the pace of each game as the Shamrocks went 2-0-1 against stiff competition. She put up a dominating performance in their first game, scoring all three goals in a 3-2 victory, including the winning goal with just seconds to go.

# 17 Gianna Castelhano - PSA Monmouth 10G Orange

Gianna was a key part of PSA Monmouth 2010 success this weekend. Castelhano was involved in seven of the 11 goals scored by PSA, scoring four and assisting three. She played striker and attacking midfield and was so affective both in and out of possession. Her link up play with the front three gave opposing teams defense a difficult time trying to read the game. Her movement off the ball allowed space for the other attacking players to create attacking opportunities.

# 67 Chacity Rotondella - Jersey Shore Boca Jr FC Shaka

Chacity primarily plays as an attacking midfielder while also getting some time at striker with an engine that's just nonstop. Her speed matched with her relentlessness makes her a difficult matchup on any part of the field. Chacity helped lead her team this weekend by contributing four goals and two assists.
