EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2022 Best XI Girls


EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI from last weekend’s EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2022 Girls. The selections were made based on the performance of the players during the tournament. Congratulations to the following players who were selected.

The Best XI from the EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2022 Girls are:

#20 Siena Sowers - NJ Premier G2005/04

Siena was a solid defender over the weekend, and was one of the key players in the strong defense. Many of the offensive plays started by her playing the ball out of the back or making great overlapping runs.


#9 Sarah Fisher - PA Dominion FC 2004 Girls

Sarah contributed on five out of the team’s six goals, scoring four and assisting on one. She was a constant threat all weekend long, helping lead the team to a 2-1-0 record in the top bracket of the 19U age group.


#34 Chloe Moser - FC Europa 2004 Girls Elite

Chloe marshaled a strong showing by the Europa defense including a shut out of the potent NJ Premier team. Her ability to read the game allowed her to limit opponents' penetration in the attacking third. She also displayed great composure in possession, allowing her team to play out of the back on countless occasions.


#20 Mackenzie Delmonico - Force FC G2005 NL

Mackenzie scored five goals in three games. She was ultra-dynamic in the attack on and off the ball, creating endless opportunities, clinical in the final third and a tireless forward that was dedicated to working on both sides of the ball.


#11 Chloe Morris - East Fishkill Strikers

Chloe was an essential part of the defense that helped lead her team from New York toward the title. Her physical and aggressive play shut down many scoring opportunities from the speedy and skilled opponents. A player who is respected by her teammates, she gave her best in every game throughout the competition.


#2 Amanda Thornton - The Football Academy NJ 2006 Girls Black

Amanda had a very strong weekend leading the line for the 06 Black scoring three goals and also chipping in with two assists. Playing up two years, she did not look out of place. Amanda's off-the-ball movement and attacking runs showed she was a constant threat both on and off the ball. Her work rate and pressing were also key to the team's success in every game and displayed her ability to work both sides of the ball.


#8 Kendall Popp - Keystone Athletic KA 2006 Girls-Black

Kendall was a standout this weekend in each game. With her technical skills and speed to take on defenders 1v1. She had three goals and three assists which helped her team place second in a very competitive top bracket.


#3 Grace Serafin - Coliseum Devils

A center back, Grace was the heart of the team’s defense that allowed only one goal scored against all weekend. Her speed and agility are two of her strengths but her ability to read the game sets her apart from the rest of the field.


#10 Mackenzie Hogan - Lower Merion SC Furia

Mackenzie led the attack and scored four goals in three games and also provided several assists. Playing as the team's number 9, she was dangerous with her poise on the ball, dribbling, passing and finishing. Her pressing and challenging of the opponents' defenses throughout the weekend also played a huge factor in the team’s success.


#14 Ellie Leffler - Reading Rage '07 Press

Ellie led the front line this weekend and was a terror for opposing teams. In the teams 6-3 win she had three goals, in their 2-1 win she had both goals against NJ Surf and then scored four goals in the final match. Her dominance this weekend had all opposing coaches and college coaches in attendance take notice.


#6 Sydney Soliz - FC Somers Lady Hammers

Sydney was instrumental in leading FC Somers to a first place finish. Her technical and tactical ability was excellent all weekend long, helping to make all her teammates better as the side conceded just one goal while going 2-0-1.
