EDP Cup Fall 2024 Best XI Boys


EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI from last weekend's EDP Cup Fall 2024. The selections were made based on the performance of the players during the tournament. Congratulations to the following players who were selected. 

 

The Boys Best XI from the EDP Cup Fall 2024 are:

# 4 Santi Fernandez – Arlington SA 2011B ECNL

Santi, a center midfielder, was one of the most versatile players to watch over the weekend. His technical ability and athleticism, combined with his knowledge of the game, made him a threat in the midfield. Santi was dominant on defense and in the attack with a scored goal and an assist in the final. He was pivotal for Arlington winning the championship.   


# 22 David Csiki - Coppermine SC Boys 2012 ECNL RL 

David Csiki played center defensive midfielder. He was an instrumental part of the team's success this weekend. His goals and assists helped the team secure three wins against Monmouth, Arlington ECNL, and Arlington ECNL in the group stage before he helped his team secure a 5-1 in the final game. David had a goal and three assists throughout the tournament. 


# 54 Ravi Smith – New York City FC Blue  

Ravi was a key player in the NYCFC Blue tournament victory, shining as their center back. Defensively, he was a rock, consistently winning duels and neutralizing opposing attackers with his strong tackling and smart positioning. But his contributions didn’t stop there—under pressure, he showcased impressive ball skills, expertly transitioning the play and helping them break lines to ignite their offense. His ability to read the game and make critical passes pushed their attack forward, proving invaluable to their success. Ravi's performance was a perfect blend of defensive solidity and offensive support, making him an essential part of their team's triumph. 


# 7 Aedan Wilcosky – Los Amigos FC 2013B  

As goalkeeper, Aedan had one clean sheet and allowed only three goals in the entire tournament. He made six key saves in the final against Philadelphia Union. 


# 3 Luke Maher - Torpedoes BU11 Red

Luke played striker this weekend. His athleticism, along with his crafty technical ability to take players on 1v1, caused havoc to opposing teams all weekend. He totaled seven goals, two in the championship match, and one assist. His understanding and ability to help the team maintain possession and create goal-scoring chances for him and his teammates were critical in helping them win the EDP Cup Fall. 


# 1 Frankie Muretic – Tournament Time Game Awareness Elites 2014 Boys

Frankie played a key role in the Game Awareness’ defense that led them to winning the tournament. Frankie is the captain for the team and was a leader on the field. When building from the back, he showed great composure on the ball. He holds the defense together with his communication. Winning the ball in the air, tackling to win the ball, Frankie was a wall at the back. Frankie's strong defense and communication skills helped Game Awareness Elites win back-to-back tournaments. 

# 90 Luke Terezo – East Coast Football Club B2015 

Luke made game-changing saves throughout the whole weekend to push his team forward. He organized the team and stayed vocal throughout all the games. As the keeper, he is a big leader on the field, pushing his team to get the trophy in the top bracket. 



# 10 Nathan Eble - Coppermine SC Boys 2015 Academy 1

Nathan Eble is the team’s center forward and had an effective weekend on offense for the team. Nathan scored in all four of the games this weekend, including matches against Red Bulls, Philly Union, STA, and FC Delco in the championship game. 

 


# 1 Daniel Robles Casto – SYC 2016B Pre-MLS Next

Daniel was fundamental with great saves and a clean sheet in the final to help our boys come away with first place. He continued to grow in his communication with his teammates and is proved pivotal and fearless in key moments with his saves. 

 


# 10 Grayson Amores – Valencia SA 2017 Black - Montesinos 

Grayson is the center midfielder for the 2017 Black team. He is a box-to-box player that contributes to both sides of the ball. In addition to scoring several goals, Grayson is relentless and tracks back defensively. Grayson’s desire to compete elevated the level of his teammates. He contributed six goals and five assists over the weekend. 


# 4 Jaxon Redondo – SJEB FC 11B ECNL RL

Jaxon controlled the middle of the field throughout the weekend from the center midfielder position. He was the ultimate two-way player, dictating play on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He tallied three goals and two assists and was the catalyst behind every scoring opportunity across all four games. He demonstrated excellent vision, high soccer IQ, and a relentless work rate.
