EDP CT Championship League Fall 2022 Early Season Review


This Fall, 237 11U-15U teams from the top clubs in Connecticut are participating in the EDP CT Championship League. The 237 teams come from 34 different clubs, with club directors collaborating with the league to create geographically desirable divisions, with teams at the correct competitive levels to create good games every week with limited travel. In cooperation with Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA), the league creates a platform for teams to compete with like-minded clubs, and the ability to earn their way from the state level league up to the USYS National League Conferences.

Connecticut, Ajax Premier, Beachside North, Bridgeport Premier Futbol Club, CFC North, Chelsea Piers Shoreline SC, Cheshire SC, Connecticut FC, CT Rush, Fairfield United SA, Foundation SC West, FSC North, Ginga FC, Glen Celtic America FC, Green Warriors Soccer, Hartford SC, Inter Connecticut FC, JCFC Academy, Mendonca Soccer School, Northeast United Premier Soccer, OGRCC, Ole Impact FC, PSC Dynamo CT, Revolution United FC, Shelton FC, Shoreline United Soccer Club, Southeast Soccer Club, Southington SC, Sporting CT, Stamford FC, Trumbull United SC, Vale SC, Valley FC, and Yankee United FC.


A look at few of the League’s Top Performers:

In the 12U Boys EDP CT Championship League I Division, Revolution Boys 2011 Red is off to a 4-0-0 start, winning their last two matches by one goal each, defeating Trumbull United SC 2-1 and Ginga FC 1-0. A.C. Connecticut Hartford Athletic is also unbeaten with a 2-0-0 record after defeating CT Rush Southeast 2-1, and OGRCC. Thunder 2011 Premier is the other unbeaten team with a 2-0-1 record after their 3-1 win over Sporting CT.


In the 13U Boys EDP CT Championship League I Division, Shoreline United Soccer Club Newcastle is 3-0-0 and has kept a clean sheet in all three of their matches. Ajax Premier Burlington B2010 and Ginga FC Boys 2010 EDP White are the two other teams who are unbeaten, both with 2-0-0 record. Five teams currently sit on six points as they look to catch Shoreline United at the top of the table.


In the 12U Girls EDP CT Championship League I North Division, CFC North 2012 Elite Black is in first place with 12 points and a 4-0-0 record, and Valley FC 2011 EDP Premier is 3-0-0. CFC North opened the season with a tough battle vs CT Rush Central which they won 3-2 and last week defeated Southeast SC 1-0 in a close match. Valley FC has found success with their great attack, scoring five goals in their opening match up, and scoring four goals in their second and third match, the latest was 4-2 win over Sporting CT.


In the 13U Girls EDP CT Championship League I Division, Fairfield United Girls 2010 Premier is 4-0-0. They opened the season with a 2-1 win over Sporting CT, and have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches, including a 2-0 win over second place Vale SC last weekend.
